WipeDrive 6.1 is now the world's first and only NIAP Common Criteria EAL4 certified disk wiping tool. Common Criteria is the internationally recognized standard and an ISO standard (ISO-IEC 15408) for evaluating the security claims of IT products and systems.
The validation was performed by the Booz Allen Hamilton Common Criteria Testing Laboratory and certifies that WipeDrive permanently erases all data from hard drives and other data storage devices. This includes but is not exclusive to: HPA partitions, DCO partitions, remapped sectors, operating systems, programs, and user files. This data is permanently destroyed as to make any type of forensic data recovery impossible.
WipeDrive provides data destruction in accordance with US DoD 5220.22-M and complies with all of the following disk wipe standards:
