|
|
Hello,
I have some Apple equipment that I need to wipe and have a few questions...
(1) - What is the difference between the WipeDrive for MAC product and the WipeDrive Pro for PowerPC (included with Commercial license)...?
(2) - Should the WipeDrive Pro for PowerPC (included with Commercial license) work properly on both G4 and G5 chipsets...?
Thanks,
-db |

WipeDrive Pro or WipeDrive for Mac will work in your case.
The are actually two version of WipeDrive Pro PPC. The one being referenced on the website is for the AIX version (PowerPC 64) |

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the reply...
Unfortunately, WipeDrive Pro nor WipeDrive for MAC will NOT work on the G5 units I have...
I contacted level two support via email, and was given the following response:
"WipeDrive for Mac will not work on that specific system. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Kinda sucks...

Ug. We are considering an Enterprise License for WipeDrive Pro, but it's gotta work on all Mac as well as WinTel hardware.
Can someone from WhiteCanyon please post which Macs are supported?
You web site says: "Support for all PC and Mac Computers (Intel, AMD & PowerPC)" - is that true? Will WipeDrive Pro work on PPC Macs? |

Allan,
That is true. It does work on all PPC and x86 processors (Intel/AMD). The problem reported above has to do specifically with a G5, however, I believe those issues have since been resolved. |
