|
|
I was concerned about a possible boot sector virus.I used the DOS version of Wipe Drive (3.0.0, purchased in 2003) with three passes to wipe the hard drive. Then I used DOS FDISK.EXE to create partition and reinstalled Windows XP.
Was the old MBR wiped with this method? If not, how does one wipe the MBR?
Thanks.

Hi John,
WipeDrive does wipe out the MBR entirely. Anything stored there is removed. |
